Frameless Glass Pool Fencing

Our 12mm Toughened Frameless Glass Pool Fencing combines luxury, beauty, design and safety in a modular system that has been designed to meet all Australian Pool Safety Standards while easily accommodating your installation plans.

1. Site Plan & Ordering
  • Decide on fence position and measurements of panels & posts by creating a mud map of your site.
  • Following the above Materials Checklist, calculate how many of each component you require
  • Contact us to complete your order. Most items are available in stock
2. String Line & Spigot Marking
  • Using a stringline, mark out the desired line of the fence
  • Mark out all spigot positions and panel placements according to the panel & gate sizes, starting with the gate
  • Gaps between & below the panels should not exceed 100mm to comply with Aust. Stds AS1926.1
3. Install Spigots & Panels
  • Attach Spigots to Glass Panels using supplied pressure plate & rubber, ensuring not to tighten too firmly
  • Place the panel with the spigots attached into position & bolt down or place into cored holes
  • Tighten the spigots & adjust panel position to ensure they are level and plumb
4. Install Gate
  • Attach the hinge & latch components of the Gate Kit to the 8mm Glass Gate as per instructions
  • While chocking up the gate, attach hinge & latch components of the Gate Kit to the Hinge and latch panel as per instructions
  • Ensure the gate self closes automatically using the tension pin to adjust the spring

Semi - Frameless Glass Pool Fencing
Site Plan & Ordering
  • Decide on your balustrade position and measurements of panels & posts by creating a mud map of your site.
  • Following the above Materials Checklist, calculate how many of each component you require remembering the modular nature of semi-frameless glass
  • Contact us to complete your order. Most products are available in stock
String Line & Post Holes
  • Set Stringline along the desired line of the balustrade, keeping close to the ground
  • Measure out all holes, mark out post core hole positions or screw positions, depending on the post type you are using

Install Posts
  • Ensure post hole centres are accurate according to the below top view diagram
  • Ensure posts are flush and level along stringline then fix in place using the appropriate method to suit your post type
  • Ensure the top of the Snap-In-Channels are no more than 90mm above ground level
  • If you are using post cover rings, place them over the posts
Install Panels
  • Place Seating Grommets on top of snap in – Seating Grommets and Glazing rubber are found in the Panel Glazing Kit
  • Carefully slide Glass panel into post channels, resting it on the Seating Grommets
  • Set glass into place using Glazing Rubber on each side and each face of the panel – you can use a mild detergent to lubricate the rubber and push it tightly into place
Install Gate(s)
  • Attach hinge & latch components of the Semi-Frameless Gate Kit to 8mm Glass Gate as per instructions
  • Attach hinge & latch components of the Semi-Frameless Gate Kit to the Glazing posts as per instructions
  • Ensure the gate self closes automatically using tension pin to adjust spring

  • Dig post holes along string line 600mm deep x 200mm in diameter
  • Posts will sit approximately 500mm into the post holes
Install Posts
  • Ensure post centres are accurate – see below diagram
  • Ensure posts are flush and level along stringline then pour concrete around posts up to 50mm above ground level and taper away from the post
  • If you are using flanged posts, fix with appropriate concrete or timber fixings

Install Panels
  • Attach panels to posts using Panel Brackets & Self Tapping Tek Screws
  • 2 Rail panel styles require 4 brackets
  • 3 Rail panel styles require 6 brackets
  • Ensure the bottom of panels are no more than 100mm off the ground at any point
  • Recommended height off the ground is 50-80mm
Install Gate(s)
  • Attach hinge & latch components of Gate Kit to gate as per instructions
  • Attach hinge & latch components of Gate Kit to posts as per instructions
  • Ensure the pool gate opens away from the pool area & Latch knob is 1500mm above the level of the ground to comply with pool safety regulations
  • Tap on Post caps with soft end mallet

  2. Following the above Materials Checklist, calculate how many of each component you require

String Line & Post Holes
  1. Set Stringline along the desired line of the fence, close to the ground
  2. Measure out all holes, starting with the gate post holes
  3. Dig post holes along string line 600mm deep x 250mm in diameter
  4. Posts will sit approximately 500mm into the post holes
Install Posts
  • Ensure post centres are accurate – see below diagram
  • Screw posts back to back, place them in post holes and concrete them in, ensuring they are level and flush along the stringline

  • 50 x 50 steel posts should be used for gates and corners
  • Channel posts can be screwed on to these corner/gate posts
In Fill Sheets
  1. Insert the bottom rail into the post channels and screw through each side of the post channel to secure it along the bottom level of your fence line
  2. Place sheets into the channel posts and bottom rail ensuring they overlap evenly and lock in to place
  3. Place the top rail over the top of sheets and screw through each side of the channel post to secure

Install Gate(s)
  • Gates assembly: See below diagram
  • Attach hinge & latch components of the Gate Kit to Gate as per instructions
  • Attach hinge & latch components of the Gate Kit to the 50 x 50 Steel Gate Posts as per instructions
